RISC OS Wakefield Show 2015

It’s show time again, with the next event being just a few days away: Saturday, 25th April – the 2015 Wakefield Show, which will be open to the public from 10:30am until 4:30pm, in the Cypress and Hawthorne Suites of the Cedar Court Hotel, Denby Dale Road, Calder Grove, Wakefield, WF4 3QZ.

Soft Rock Software will be on stand 11 according to the (provisional) floor plan found on the show website, between Jim Nagel/Archive Magazine and Chris Dewhurst/Drag n’ Drop Magazine.

Visitors will be able to play some of the old Soft Rock Software budget games, such as Floopy and Drop Rock, or discuss (and have demonstrations of) other software, such as WebChange or WaitUntil.

On sale will be the remaining stock of version 1 RiscPiC-mini cases, suitable for use with the original Raspberry Pi models A and B.

RiscPiC® is a range of 3D-printed cases, designed to house the Raspberry Pi, with a distinctive RISC OS flavour: they are designed as a tribute to Acorn’s iconic RiscPC, which celebrated its 20th birthday at last year’s show. There is currently only one version available – the RiscPiC-mini version 1 – and only in very limited numbers; there are only ten remaining.

So if you want one, pop along to stand 11 before they’re gone!
